Remove old care plans

In this article, we explain how to remove care plans in Access Care Planning using your rostering system.

Written by Cameron Falconer

If you use a rostering system that integrates with Access Care Planning, such as Access Care Rostering or Access People Planner, you can end the service requirement in your rostering system, which removes the care plan from Access Care Planning.

To add an end date, follow these steps in your rostering system:

🤓Tip: The end must be after the start date, and note before.

  1. Click Service User, then click Service User.

  2. Click Find, then select the relevant service user.

  3. Click Care Visits, then select the relevant service order.

  4. Click Service Requirement Details.

  5. Select the correct service requirement.

  6. Add an end date, then click Save.

🤓Tip: If you already have an end date, remove it and add it again.

Once this has been done, the care plan will be made inactive on your Access Care Planning within about 15 minutes.

If the care plan is still showing

If the care plan is still active in Access Care Planning more than about 15 minutes after you added the end date, check the following.

  1. Confirm the end date saved in your rostering system, and that it is after the start date.

  2. Confirm you ended the correct service requirement.

  3. If you use Access People Planner, confirm the visit has been removed or ended, not just the care plan.

If the care plan still will not clear after these checks, raise a case through the Access Digital Assistant, as it may need a manual correction by the support team.
