Visit notes

In this article, we explain how you can view a carer's visit notes and how to allow visit notes outside of visit time.

Within Access Care Planning, it's mandatory to add visit notes to a visit before you're able to sign out. This means visit notes are always be associated with a visit unless it hasn't been ended.

Once the visit ends, you can still edit visit notes, depending on your settings in tenant preferences.

View visit notes

If you need to view or print the notes that were left against a call, you can do this by following these simple steps.

  1. Click the three-line menu.

  2. Select the service that the service user is under.

  3. Select the relevant service user.

  4. From the left-hand panel, select Visit.

  5. Use the calendar icon to select the date range.

  6. Here you'll see the visit and activity notes.

  7. To download and print, click the green download button.


Enable or disable visit notes outside of visit times

You can allow carers to update the visit notes outside of visit times or disable this feature depending on your preferences. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Click the three-line menu.

  2. Click Configuration, then click Tenant.

  3. Click Preferences.

  4. Under App preferences, locate Allow 'Visit Notes' outside of visit times?

  5. From the dropdown menu, select yes or no.

  6. At the bottom of the page, click Update.
