We're pleased to announce the release of iOS 7.13.0 for the Access Care Planning mobile app, bringing refinements to Smart Notes and a number of fixes reported by users.
New features
Fewer unnecessary prompts when ending a visit
Access Care Planning now only asks you for a reason when a visit ends meaningfully earlier or later than planned, based on your organisation's configured tolerance.
How it works
Click End Visit as normal.
If the difference between the actual and planned end time is within your organisation's configured Visit Variance Threshold, you move straight to visit completion with no prompt.
If the difference is greater than the threshold, you're asked to select a reason, as before.
What it means for you
Fewer prompts for small, insignificant timing differences.
More consistent reporting on the variances that genuinely matter.
A warning before you lose a Smart Notes transcription
If you tap back while a Smart Notes voice transcription is in progress, Access Care Planning now warns you before the transcription is lost.
How it works
Start a Smart Notes voice transcription as usual.
If you tap back while it's still transcribing, a dialog asks you to confirm.
Select Stay to return to the transcription, or Exit to discard it.
What it means for you
Fewer transcriptions lost to an accidental tap.
Quick feedback on Smart Notes voice recordings
After you submit a form completed with Smart Notes, you may be asked a short question about how well the voice recording worked. You won't be asked again for 30 days.
How it works
Complete and submit a form that Smart Notes populated.
If you haven't been asked in the last 30 days, a short prompt appears asking how well the voice recording worked for you.
Select thumbs up, thumbs down, or dismiss the prompt. Selecting thumbs down shows an optional comment field.
What it means for you
Your feedback helps us improve the accuracy of Smart Notes.
The prompt doesn't block your work, and won't reappear for a month once you've responded or dismissed it.
Bug fixes
Fixed an issue where a conditional rule didn't work as expected on mobile.
Fixed an issue where selecting a user from the user picker removed the whole table on the mobile app.
Fixed an issue where a medication comment entered during a visit wasn't sent to the server.
Fixed an issue that stopped iPad users from using an iPad field in landscape mode.
Fixed an issue where form display columns showed raw formatting tags instead of formatted text in the form overview.
How this version will be made available
This update will be made available in the Apple App Store starting with 26 August 2026.
The update will be available for download through the Apple App Store. You'll be prompted to update when you next launch the app, or you can update manually via the App Store.
