Overview

We are pleased to announce the release of iOS v7.12.0. This release delivers significant enhancements to Smart Notes, introducing safeguards that protect care workers from accidental data loss during recordings, as well as improvements to the AI-Generated Visit Summary. A number of bug fixes are also included, addressing visit timing discrepancies, photo upload issues, and login reliability.

New Features

Smart Notes: load voice recording confirmation modal

When tapping to load a saved voice recording into a form, a confirmation modal now appears showing the recording's duration and timestamp. Care workers can review the details before choosing to load, cancel, or delete the recording.

How it works

  1. Open a form that has a saved Smart Notes voice recording available.

  2. Tap Load Recording.

  3. A modal appears showing the recording duration and the date and time it was created.

  4. Tap Load to apply the recording to the form, Cancel to dismiss the modal, or Delete to remove the recording.

What it means for you

  • You can review recording details before committing, reducing the risk of loading the wrong recording.

  • You have the option to delete an unwanted recording directly from the modal without leaving the form.

Smart Notes: pre-navigation warning

ACP Mobile now warns you before navigating away from a form when a Smart Notes recording is in progress or when a recording has been completed but not yet transcribed. This prevents accidental loss of session content.

How it works

  1. While on a form with an active recording or a completed but untranscribed recording, attempt to navigate away.

  2. A warning prompt appears before navigation proceeds.

  3. Tap Stay on Form to remain on the form with your recording unaffected, or tap Leave Anyway to proceed.

What it means for you

  • You are warned before accidentally leaving a form mid-session, preventing silent loss of recordings and transcription work.

  • The warning does not block system-level navigation events such as incoming calls.

Smart Notes: 80-minute recording limit warning

Care workers conducting long assessments will now receive a warning at 70 minutes of active recording, alerting them that the recording will stop automatically at 80 minutes. The warning appears as an in-app banner when the app is in the foreground and as a push notification when backgrounded.

How it works

  1. Start a Smart Notes recording on a form.

  2. At 70 minutes, a warning banner appears stating that the recording will stop at 80 minutes and that approximately 10 minutes remain. The recording is not interrupted.

  3. At 80 minutes, the recording stops automatically and you are notified that the session has been saved.

  4. Tap Load Recording on the form to load and transcribe the recording.

What it means for you

  • You receive timely notice before the recording limit is reached, giving you the opportunity to wrap up your session.

  • Unexpected session loss due to the 80-minute limit is prevented.

Smart Notes: orphaned voicenote management

On shared forms where multiple care workers contribute across a shift, unused voice recordings can now be identified, manually deleted, and automatically cleaned up after transcription. The Load Voicenote list also now visually differentiates between active and unused recordings.

How it works

  1. Open the Load Voicenote list on a form.

  2. Active and unused recordings are displayed with visual labels to distinguish their status.

  3. To delete an unused recording, tap Delete next to it. A confirmation prompt appears before the recording is permanently removed.

  4. When the active recording is transcribed and the form is submitted, any remaining unused recordings are automatically removed.

What it means for you

  • You can cleanly manage voicenotes on shared forms without the risk of accidentally loading or overwriting stale recordings.

  • Orphaned recordings no longer persist indefinitely, keeping the Load Voicenote list accurate.

AI-Generated Visit Summary: view source visits

Care workers can now expand any summary category in the AI-Generated Visit Summary to see the list of visits that contributed to that category. This gives greater transparency into the source of the summary.

📌 Note: The AI-Generated Visit Summary feature is available from ACP Server 8.2.10 onwards. This feature will only be enabled on mobile once your server has been updated to version 8.2.10 or later where the feature can be controlled from Tenant Preferences.

How it works

  1. Open the AI-Generated Visit Summary screen.

  2. Tap See more on any summary category card.

  3. The expanded view shows the full summary text for that category and the list of visits it was generated from.

What it means for you

  • You can verify which visits were used to generate each summary category, giving you confidence in the information presented.

  • Each category shows only its own relevant visits, making it easy to trace the source of specific summary content.

Bug Fixes

  • Visit last updated timestamp displayed outside the end task window – Resolved an issue where the visit last updated timestamp was showing outside the expected end task window, causing incorrect visit timing information to be displayed.

  • Visit actual time discrepancies – Fixed an issue where actual visit start and end times were displaying incorrectly, causing discrepancies in visit duration records.

  • Photo upload deficiency – Resolved an issue that caused image quality degradation when uploading photos into the app.

  • Web visit notes missing timestamps – Fixed an issue where visit notes generated via the web did not display the visit start and end timestamps within the AI Visit Summary.

  • Users unable to log in due to device offline message – Fixed an issue where users were incorrectly presented with a device offline message, preventing them from logging into the app.
