When registering a device on Access Care Planning, if you get the error message 'there is already a device registered with this UUID', the device is already on the system; it may show under inactive or be called something different.

To amend the error, follow these simple steps:

Check the inactive tab

First, check if the device is under the inactive tab:

  1. Click the three-line menu.

  2. Click Configuration, then click Devices.

  3. Select the Inactive tab.

  4. In the search bar, search for the UUID number.

  5. If the device shows select the device, then click Edit.

  6. Uncheck the Is Active? checkbox.

  7. Click Update.

Device doesn't show under inactive

If the device does not show under inactive, it may be that it comes under a previous employee's name. To find the device, follow these simple steps:

  1. Click the three-line menu.

  2. Click Configuration, then click Devices.

  3. In the search bar, search for the UUID number.

  4. If the device shows select the device, then click Edit.

  5. Make the relevant amendments such as the device name and add the correct employee.

  6. Click Update.
